How to Help Properties & Maps
Contact Us Home Page

The Bethel Land Trust utilizes three instruments to help preserve natural resources and open space. Once preserved, we develop a stewardship strategy for the land that involves monitoring and maintenance.

GIFTS
We receive gifts of land from landowners interested in preserving their fields and woods.

EASEMENTS
Landowners may present a conservation easement to the Land Trust. The landowner retains ownership of the property and releases development rights. This transaction provides a significant tax deduction for the landowner. Contact us to discuss this valuable conservation tool.

PURCHASE
The Land Trust can purchase land at bargain prices with tax exempt funds donated for this purpose.
